- Pack a cosmetics pouch in your bag: Pack your make-up items in a cosmetics pouch, since these are prone to spilling and stain the inside of your bag.
- Keep your dustbag: It’s always important to remember that you should treat your leather bags like your own child; they need care and attention. You can clean your bag with a clean, dry cloth and store it in your dustbag. Try to avoid using chemicals on your bag, which can damage it.
- Store your bag in a cool, dark place and away from direct sunlight.
- Don’t stuff your bag with newspaper, but use the paper that came with the bag to keep the shape. If you don’t have this anymore you can use any soft material like polyester or cotton towels.
- Don’t use plastic for storage, since these can trap moisture and could be causing mold. Leather needs to breath.
- Before stowing away your bag, don’t forget to take out any little things, like lipsticks and such, that can cause staining.
